Experience

Pamela’s professional background includes organisational consulting and research, corporate work in Australia and overseas, and a three-year
Commonwealth Bank of Australia research study involving approximately 25,000 employees and examining motivation and turnover.

She also held a position on the Committee for Coaching Psychologists for approximately six years and has conducted stress-management lectures
and workshops at the Australian College of Applied Psychology.

Work may centre on leadership, career optimisation, workplace relationships, communication, motivation, change, conflict, performance and the demands of senior professional roles.

Approach

The emphasis is practical and collaborative, helping clients understand the factors influencing their professional behaviour and relationships and identify useful ways forward.

Yes. Services may be provided under approved workers compensation arrangements. Written approval from the insurer is required before treatment commences.
Pamela Williams Smith works across clinical psychology, relationships, executive coaching, performance and professional environments. Stephanie Jones has a particular focus on children, adolescents, families, education and student wellbeing. Consulting Psychologist Dr Martha Knox-Haly works with adults across clinical and workplace concerns and consults at the practice on Mondays. Yes. Personal information is treated with strict confidentiality and stored securely, with access limited to your psychologist and authorised practice staff in accordance with the practice’s privacy policy.

FOR REFERRERS

Macquarie Street Psychologists welcomes referrals from GPs, specialists and other health professionals.

Where appropriate and with client consent, we work collaboratively with referring practitioners to support continuity of care.

Medicare rebates may be available for eligible psychological treatment following a GP referral. Private health fund rebates may also apply depending on individual cover.
