Support for children, adolescents and families

Young people can experience challenges across emotional wellbeing, development, learning, relationships and school. These areas often
overlap, and support can be most useful when the wider context of a young person’s life is understood.

Steph Jones brings experience across psychology, education and student wellbeing, allowing her to work with young people and families where emotional, developmental and educational concerns intersect.

Young people and families

Support may involve understanding what is happening beneath the surface, strengthening relationships, building practical strategies and helping young people navigate challenges with greater confidence.

School and learning

Steph’s background in educational leadership provides an understanding of the environments in which children and adolescents learn, develop and relate to others.

Approach

Steph works collaboratively with children, adolescents, families, caregivers and teachers where appropriate, with an emphasis on helping young people understand themselves, recognise their strengths and develop the capacity to thrive.

Areas may include
  • Emotional wellbeing and self-esteem
  • Anxiety and stress
  • Learning and school-related challenges
  • Relationships and family dynamics
  • Motivation and confidence

  • Transitions and change
